Jim Hengelbrok

Meet Jim, the bird enthusiast extraordinaire! This guy's passion for our feathered friends goes waaaay back. He carved out a life in the '70s helping the less fortunate, but after surviving the chaos of raising a small army of kids (two of which turned into Eagle Scouts), he finally spread his wings and took birdwatching seriously. Joining the Tampa Audubon crew in 2016 was a no-brainer, and he's been a big shot on the Board of Directors since 2021. Jim's all about that birding social scene, soaking up wisdom from the birding gurus, but ask him to pick a favorite bird? Fuhgeddaboudit! He's head over heels for every single feathered friend out there!
